Top 5 Navigation and Maps Apps in Bulgaria, Q3 2024

In the third quarter of 2024, the Bulgarian market for navigation and maps apps saw varying trends among the top five contenders, according to data from Sensor Tower.

Waze Navigation & Live Traffic experienced a dynamic quarter with downloads peaking at approximately 17.2K in the first week of August. However, this was followed by a gradual decline, ending the quarter with around 9.3K downloads in the last week of September. Weekly active users also fluctuated, reaching a high of 207K mid-August before settling at 176K by the end of September.

Google Maps Go maintained a relatively stable presence with weekly downloads ranging from 4.3K to 5.7K. Active users showed a slight downward trend, starting from 295K and decreasing to 271K by the end of the quarter.

Google Earth demonstrated consistent download figures, fluctuating between 1.5K and 1.9K throughout the quarter. Active users remained relatively stable, hovering around 12K, with minor variations.

GPS, Maps, Voice Navigation experienced a decline in downloads, starting at 1.8K in early July and dropping to approximately 1.1K by the end of September. Active users followed a similar pattern, decreasing from 4.2K to 2.6K over the same period. Despite this, the app managed to generate a small but steady stream of revenue, peaking at $3 in early August.
